The world overview shows the world map and the amount of starting influence your faction holds in each Theater. The map itself is divided up in a hierarchy:
World Overview → Theater → Region [smallest map entity]
|Level of Theater Influence||Faction's Political Influence||VP per Turn|
There are 10 Theaters in the game and 1 special Theater. Theaters are roughly the size of a continent and all with the exception of the special Theater (Arctic) hold several regions.
- Special Theater consisting of only one region
Regions are the smallest map entity in the game. Regions can be Land regions (housing either 5 land units or air units), Ocean regions (housing 5 sea units), sea regions (both 5 land or air units and 5 sea units) and the Arctic regions (allows 5 Submarine Fleets from each faction).
Political Influence Number
All land-regions have an Influence value called a Pol Number. This influence is a central part of the gameplay for calculating your factions political influence around the world and each influence contributes to the calculation of victory points scored each timeline by the Theaters (see Scoring).
Arctic regions and Ocean regions have no Influence value.
